Poetry Moment

Maryland and DC residents are invited to submit poems for our bimonthly Poetry Moment exhibit, posted in front of the cafe.

The September-October winner of the Poetry Moment competition is Ty Gray-El, whose poem Blown Away is now on view in the poetry box outside the cafe.

LuLu's Fate - a mix of music from the Appalachian, southern string band and country blues traditions, as well as original tunes and covers ranging from Hank Williams to Tom Waits. The trio blends virtuosic instrumantals with lush 3-part vocal harmonies to create new interpretations of traditional tunes.
 

Tuesday, November 25th at 7pm:

DragonSong - organic and unique collaborative World Music and Belly Dance ensemble that bridges the gap between tradition and innovation; guitar, bass, violin, exotic percussion, and vocal harmonies create the rich, vibrant, musical tapestry.
