Friday, April 3rd at 8:30pm:Karikatura - with bright horns, socially conscious lyrics and booty-bouncing beats, this NYC band delivers a unique blend of Transglobal Soul. An organic synthesis of all the music heard blasting out of car windows and shops onto the streets of NYC, Karikatura lives where reggae meets klezmer, cumbia meets hip-hop and indie-rock meets afrobeat. Neither purist nor revivalist, this is music of the present, for the future.
