National Poetry Month will be celebrated at the New Deal Cafe on Sunday, April 26, from 1 to 3pm with a reception featuring poetry readings, music, and refreshments. All are invited and the event is free. Poets whose works have been displayed during the past year in the Poetry Moment Box, located outside the New Deal Cafe, will be present reading their poems. There will also be an open mic for other poets to read their work.

The Poetry Moment project is produced by local writers, and is sponsored by the Friends of New Deal Cafe (FONDCA), with support from the City of Greenbelt. Special thanks goes to former County Council Member Ingrid Turner, for her support with a grant from Prince George's County.
