Art on the Walls

The New Deal Cafe provides a venue for local artists to exhibit and sell their work. We have a showroom and glass display cases, and every other month new artwork is featured. Join us at a reception to meet the creative talent behind the next exhibit.

If you’re an artist, we’d love to talk to you about having a show at the cafe.

The cafe’s art exhibits are mounted by the New Deal Cafe Art Committee and sponsored by the Friends of New Deal Cafe Arts with support from Prince George’s County. Your tax-deductible donation to FONDCA supports art at the cafe.

2014 Greenbelt Green Man Festival Call for Entries: Visual Artists, Poets and Writers

All ages are invited to become part of the Green Man Festival, for a two month long The Green Man Exhibit of Creative Arts at the New Deal Cafe during May and June, 2014.

Mother Earth’s Little Helpers

Each year the Green Man Festival and the New Deal Cafe host an art show for the event. This year’s festival theme is Mother Earth’s Little Helpers, the pollinators that are essential to much of the fruitful harvest of our farms, gardens and orchards. We asks you to re-connect your imagination to the sensory and visual experiences that have come from the butterflies and bees and all small things and all the wild places you have known, to create a work of art that tells a piece of the story. All entries accepted will be a part of the Green Man exhibit at the New Deal Cafe during the month of May and June.

Instructions for Submitting Art
