Art on the Walls

The New Deal Cafe provides a venue for local artists to exhibit and sell their work. We have a showroom and glass display cases, and every other month new artwork is featured. Join us at a reception to meet the creative talent behind the next exhibit.

If you’re an artist, we’d love to talk to you about having a show at the cafe.

The cafe’s art exhibits are mounted by the New Deal Cafe Art Committee and sponsored by the Friends of New Deal Cafe Arts with support from Prince George’s County. Your tax-deductible donation to FONDCA supports art at the cafe.

Friendship 2019

Hanging at the New Deal Cafe September and October is the art of the New Deal Cafe’s own curator, Chrissy Wilkin. But, this is not a solo show, this is a body of work created by her and her close friends, Aryn Townsley and Sara Sanchez. Three friends that hang out together all the time and make art together. You will see how they influence one another’s work, even though each piece is deeply personal to the artist. The reception will be held September 22, from 3-5 PM, with a special solo performance by another dear friend, Steven Drummond. This is a reception that you will not want to miss.
