April 15, 2024

Gaza’s Palestinians, the Rohingya fleeing Myanmar, and the Muslims from Kashmir all have been living in conflict zones since the British pulled out in 1947. Millions of people have died and millions more displaced: by land grabs and seemingly end-less wars and oppression.

The film is screened in-house and online. Prior registration is required for Zoom:

Angel of Gaza

Angel of Gaza tells the plight of one refugee family. Ahmad Mansour, Palestinian filmmaker, will discuss this world news dominating situation.

Bangladesh: the Rohingya’s Bitter Exile shows the Muslim minority in Myanmar driven from their country by their army.

A History of the Conflict in Kashmir and Defending Kashmir: Anchar’s Last Stand Against India’s Control are two very short films that introduce us to this area of similar strife.

The program is designed for participants to better understand these three different situations all involving Muslim populations driven from their homes after the British left all three colonies in 1947.
