PROGRAM VIA ZOOM

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been used at military installations throughout the country for decades as a constituent chemical for firefighting foam. This comes with dire consequences, as they leach into our soil and water and are released into the air through incineration. These series of documentary shorts detail the testimonials of people suffering the effects of PFAS contamination.
The discussion will be led by Pat Elder, an investigative journalist who has worked extensively on how PFAS has impacted the environment and wildlife in Prince George’s County. Pat and his work are also profiled in the film.
The vegan meal this month is Macro Vegetarian Samosa dumplings, chickpea masala, steamed cauliflower and rice. Cost is $7.99 for participants. Phone in your pre-order to the deli at 301-474-0522 by 1:00pm on the day of the film for pick-up between 4:00pm and 7:00pm at the deli. Depending on demand, there may be dinners on a walk-in basis, if not pre-ordered.
