Please join us in the Cafe on Sunday, June 1 for our annual membership meeting! We will be presenting reports on the state of the Cafe, holding elections for two positions on the board of directors and one position on the audit committee, and voting on a proposed bylaw change.
The proposed agenda and background materials for the membership meeting will be posted at a later date.
The membership meeting will be followed immediately by the board’s monthly meeting for June, at which the newly elected board members will determine officers for the next year, among other business. We invite you to stay for this meeting, which we hope will be brief! The public board meeting will be followed by a short executive session.
Registration for the membership meeting will begin at 12:30. Please come early and enjoy a delicious lunch at the Cafe!
Only those whose memberships are up to date will be eligible to vote.
Current members may pick up their membership cards at the registration desk. Those whose memberships are out of date will become eligible to vote at the meeting if they pay $25 renewal fees at the registration desk. Those who wish to join for the first time and vote may do so by paying a $50 fee at the registration desk (the fee covers the first two years of membership dues.) You may also join or renew online.
If your membership is current and you wish to vote but you cannot attend the meeting, the bylaws state that you may submit an absentee ballot only for the board of directors positions. Please write and sign your name, along with your choices for the board of directors, on a piece of paper, and give that ballot to another member, who in turn can present it to the board secretary at the meeting. Per the bylaws, each member may only present one absentee ballot.
