What Would Jesus Buy? (trailer) From producer Morgan Spurlock (SUPER SIZE ME) and director Rob VanAlkemade comes a serious 2007 docu-comedy about the commercialization of Christmas. The film follows Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir as they go on a cross-country mission to save Christmas from the Shopocalypse: the end of mankind from consumerism, over-consumption and the fires of eternal debt!
Speakers will include Greenbelt Community Church pastor Dan Hamlin and pastor Fay Lundin of Mowatt Memorial United Methodist Church.
The film is free as always; donations will be accepted to purchase needed equipment for the use of youth at Greenbelt’s Springhill Lake Recreation Center.
