Psychesdolls by Cynthia Swan
Born out of Jungian Sandplay, a metaphorical view of life, and a belief in Mundis Imaginalis, Psychesdolls delight the eye and tickle the funny bone. Created with found stuff, purchased papers, and riff raff the likes of which are found only in a Magpie nest, the assemblage dolls share a charisma that captures the eye of the onlooker.
Cynthia Swan began creating PSYCHESDOLLS images in fill her Sandtray, which was available to clients in her private practice. After her move to Greenbelt, she offered the concept of building community through creativity to MakerSpace. Now a small group of woman meet periodically to make dolls.
Cynthia spends a lot of time at Community Hospice where she serves as a Bereavement Coordinator and often makes Psychesdolls on commission.
For the Inspired and the Aberrant by Perry Douros
